Mudcake Thickness Estimation is a quantitative geophysical measurement method within caliper logging that determines the thickness of the mudcake layer deposited on borehole walls by differentiating between the actual borehole diameter and the diameter recorded by a downhole caliper tool, thereby enabling the assessment of drilling fluid filtration properties and formation permeability.
