Morison Equation
The "Morison Equation" is a semi-empirical hydrodynamic force model that belongs to the class of wave loading formulations and is distinguished by its decomposition of the total in-line force on a slender cylindrical structure into inertia and drag components proportional to the fluid acceleration and velocity, respectively, using empirically derived coefficients.
