Model-ship Correlation

Model-Ship Correlation is a methodological framework in naval architecture that establishes a systematic relationship between the hydrodynamic performance of a scaled model and its full-scale ship counterpart, accounting for discrepancies arising from viscous effects, wave-making resistance, and scale-dependent flow phenomena to enable accurate prediction of full-scale ship resistance and propulsion characteristics.
