Model-based Image Reconstruction

Model-Based Image Reconstruction is a computational methodology in acoustic imaging that employs a physical or mathematical model of the wave propagation and measurement process to iteratively refine and solve for the underlying tissue or medium properties, distinguishing it from non-model-based or heuristic reconstruction techniques by explicitly incorporating prior knowledge of the system's physics into the inversion process.
