Modal Register

Modal Register is the primary vocal register produced by the regular vibration of the full length of the vocal folds within their normal range of tension, serving as the foundational phonatory mechanism for typical voiced speech and distinguished from other registers such as falsetto, vocal fry, or whistle by its balanced glottal airflow and harmonic richness.
