Midget Retinal Pathway
The "Midget Retinal Pathway" is a neural circuit in the primate retina that constitutes the primary conduit for high-acuity and color vision by linking individual midget ganglion cells selectively to midget bipolar cells and, indirectly via horizontal and amacrine cell modulation, to single cone photoreceptors, thereby enabling fine spatial resolution and red-green chromatic discrimination.
