Microscale Mixing
Microscale Mixing is a physical process characterized by the molecular diffusion and homogenization of scalar quantities such as heat and solute concentrations at spatial scales significantly smaller than turbulent eddies, where the interplay between density stratification and differential diffusion rates governs the formation and evolution of fine-scale structures in fluid systems.
