Microcontact Mechanics
Microcontact Mechanics is a theoretical framework that characterizes the mechanical interactions at the microscopic asperity level between two nominally flat but actually rough solid surfaces in contact, distinguishing itself by modeling the deformation, pressure distribution, and real area of contact that govern thermal and electrical resistance across the interface.
