Methylation-dependent Interactions

Methylation-Dependent Interactions is a molecular recognition mechanism in which protein-protein or protein-nucleic acid interactions are specifically mediated by the presence of methylated amino acid residues, thereby enabling selective binding events that regulate chromatin dynamics, gene expression, or signal transduction in a methylation-dependent manner.
