Mesoscale Mixing

Mesoscale Mixing is a physical oceanographic process constituting the transfer and redistribution of heat, salt, and momentum by eddies and coherent structures at horizontal scales ranging from approximately 10 to 100 kilometers, distinguishing it from larger-scale circulation and smaller-scale turbulence in polar marine environments.
