Meroitic Art

Meroitic Art is a distinct phase of Nubian art belonging to the Meroitic period (c. 300 BCE–350 CE) characterized by its syncretic fusion of Egyptian religious iconography and indigenous African artistic forms, differentiated by its use of local motifs, royal portraiture, and inscriptions in the Meroitic script within the broader development of ancient Sudanese visual culture.
