Markov Deterioration Models

Markov Deterioration Models is a stochastic process model used in asset management that characterizes the progression of asset degradation over time through a discrete-state, discrete-time Markov chain, where the future state of an asset depends only on its current state and not on its prior history, enabling probabilistic predictions of asset condition transitions under stationary deterioration dynamics.
