Marine Layer

Marine Layer is a boundary layer cloud phenomenon characterized by a shallow, stable layer of moist air confined near the ocean surface, typically forming under a temperature inversion and distinguished from other atmospheric boundary layers by its persistent stratocumulus cloud cover and strong coupling to sea surface temperature and large-scale subsidence in subtropical high-pressure regions.
