Mandibular Ossification

Mandibular Ossification is the developmental process by which mesenchymal condensations in the first pharyngeal arch undergo endochondral and intramembranous bone formation to give rise to the mandibular bone, distinguished from other craniofacial ossification events by its dual mode of ossification and its origin from neural crest-derived mesenchyme.
