Malate-aspartate Shuttle

The Malate-Aspartate Shuttle is a biochemical transport system that facilitates the transfer of reducing equivalents in the form of NADH from the cytosol into the mitochondrial matrix through a series of redox and transamination reactions involving malate, oxaloacetate, aspartate, and their associated carriers across the mitochondrial membrane.
