Magnetic Damping

Magnetic Damping is a physical phenomenon in ferrimagnetic thin films that belongs to the class of magnetic relaxation processes, distinguished by its role in dissipating the energy of precessing magnetization through spin–orbit and spin-lattice interactions, thereby governing the rate at which the system returns to equilibrium after an external perturbation.
