Magnesium Leaching is a biogeochemical process in soil science whereby magnesium ions are mobilized and transported downward through the soil profile via percolating water, distinguished from other nutrient leaching phenomena by its specific dependence on magnesium solubility, soil cation exchange capacity, and environmental factors such as rainfall and soil pH.
