Magma Accumulation is the process by which molten rock generated in the mantle or crust is stored and concentrated in subsurface reservoirs or sill-like structures within volcanic plumbing systems, distinguished from related magmatic processes by its focus on the spatial and temporal coalescence of magma in discrete zones prior to potential eruption or solidification.
