Macrotexture

Macrotexture is a pavement surface characteristic that refers to the larger-scale texture of a road surface, typically ranging from 0.5 to 50 mm in wavelength, which influences tire/road noise, splash and spray, and high-speed wet friction by affecting the drainage of water from the tire-pavement interface.
