Low-grade Alteration

Low-Grade Alteration is a type of hydrothermal alteration process characterized by minimal mineralogical and chemical changes in rocks, typically occurring at low temperatures and pressures, and distinguished from higher-grade alterations by the preservation of original rock textures and the formation of stable clay minerals, chlorite, and epidote without pervasive recrystallization.
