Loess Deposition

Loess Deposition is a sedimentary process within aeolian geomorphology and Quaternary geology consisting of the accumulation of fine-grained, silt-dominated mineral particles transported and deposited by wind, typically during glacial periods of the Pleistocene, distinguished from other aeolian deposits by its homogeneous, non-stratified structure, high porosity, and origin from glaciofluvial sources.
