Locked Plate Fixation is a type of internal fracture fixation method in orthopedic biomechanics wherein a rigid osteosynthesis plate is secured to bone using locking screws that engage threaded holes in the plate, creating a fixed-angle construct that resists axial and rotational forces without relying on plate-to-bone compression.
