Local Commons

Local Commons is a type of common-pool resource regime characterized by institutionally embedded, community-governed management of shared natural or social resources at a geographically and socially bounded, local scale, distinguished from larger-scale or state-controlled commons by its reliance on endogenous rules, collective action, and localized knowledge systems.
