Lithium Depletion

Lithium Depletion is a stellar evolutionary process, belonging to the class of nuclear depletion phenomena, wherein lithium nuclei are destroyed via proton-capture reactions at relatively low temperatures in the interiors of pre-main-sequence stars, distinguishing it from other light-element depletions by its sensitivity to the onset of convective envelope mixing during early stellar contraction.
