Linear Acoustics

Linear Acoustics is a theoretical framework within acoustic wave propagation that describes sound wave behavior under the assumption of small amplitude disturbances, where the governing equations are linearized approximations of the nonlinear fluid dynamics equations, distinguishing it from nonlinear acoustics by neglecting higher-order terms in the acoustic variables.
