Lightning Mapping Array

A Lightning Mapping Array is a ground-based network of radio frequency sensors that localize and map the spatial and temporal development of lightning discharges in three dimensions by detecting very high frequency (VHF) radiation emitted during breakdown processes, distinguished from other lightning detection systems by its high-resolution, time-of-arrival based interferometric technique.
