Layerwise Shell Modeling
Layerwise Shell Modeling is a shell modeling approach in computational mechanics that discretizes the shell structure into multiple layers through the thickness direction, where each layer is individually formulated to capture detailed interlaminar behavior and transverse stress continuity, distinguishing it from equivalent single-layer theories by allowing layer-specific constitutive responses and kinematic assumptions.
