Latch System Use
Latch System Use is a safety engineering construct that refers to the standardized method of securing child restraint systems in motor vehicles through the use of lower anchors and a tether strap, as defined by the LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) system, distinguishing it from seat belt-based installation by providing a uniform, vehicle-manufacturer-independent coupling mechanism.
