Laryngeal Electromyography

Laryngeal electromyography is a neurophysiological diagnostic technique that involves the measurement and recording of electrical potentials generated by the intrinsic and extrinsic muscles of the larynx. This method provides objective data on neuromuscular function, aiding in the assessment of muscle integrity, identification of motor unit abnormalities, and differential diagnosis of laryngeal paralysis, paresis, dystonia, and other conditions affecting vocal fold movement and laryngeal control.
