Lamb-dip Spectroscopy

Lamb-Dip Spectroscopy is a high-resolution laser spectroscopic technique that belongs to the class of saturation spectroscopy methods, distinguished by its utilization of the Lamb dip—a reduction in laser intensity at the center of an atomic or molecular transition resonance—arising from the spatial hole-burning suppression in the population inversion of a standing wave cavity, thereby enabling sub-Doppler spectral resolution.
