Kohn-sham Equations

The Kohn-Sham Equations is a theoretical framework within density functional theory that maps the many-body problem of interacting electrons into a fictitious system of non-interacting electrons moving in an effective potential, thereby enabling the calculation of electronic structure through self-consistent solutions of single-particle Schrödinger-like equations.
