Junior Lienholder Redemption
Junior Lienholder Redemption is a legal and financial mechanism within secured credit transactions whereby a junior lienholder exercises the right to redeem junior collateral by satisfying the senior lienholder’s claim, thereby subrogating to the senior lien’s position, distinguishing it from other forms of lien satisfaction by preserving the junior lienholder’s subordinate priority while discharging superior claims.
