Issue Polarization is a theoretical construct in social psychology that refers to the phenomenon whereby group discussion intensifies members' initial倾向 towards an extreme position on a specific attitudinal issue, distinguishing it from related group dynamics by focusing on the sharpening of attitudes along pre-existing ideological divides rather than general consensus formation.
