Interdomain Routing

Interdomain Routing is a network layer mechanism that governs the exchange of routing information and path selection policies between distinct autonomous systems within wide area networks, distinguished from intradomain routing by its reliance on policy-driven protocols such as the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) to achieve reachability across administrative boundaries.
