Intercalation-type Anodes

Intercalation-Type Anodes is an anode material system in which lithium ions are reversibly inserted into and extracted from the layered or tunnel crystal structure of a host material during electrochemical cycling, distinguishing it from conversion or alloying anode mechanisms by preserving the host framework with minimal structural degradation.
