About

Instrumental variables is a statistical and econometric methodology used to estimate causal effects. It addresses endogeneity bias by utilizing an auxiliary variable (the instrument) that is correlated with the potentially endogenous predictor but uncorrelated with the outcome variable through any other pathway, thereby enabling consistent estimation of the causal parameter.
