Inlay Preparation
Inlay Preparation is a type of cavity preparation that involves the precise shaping of a tooth structure to receive a cast restoration occupying the occlusal surface and interproximal areas without extending to the proximal surface beyond the confines of the cusps, distinguished from other restorative preparations by its conservative, intracoronal design intended to restore moderate dental defects while preserving cuspal integrity.
