Infant Colic
Infant Colic is a clinical construct denoting a functional gastrointestinal disorder characterized by paroxysmal crying, fussing, or irritability in an otherwise healthy infant under three months of age, with no identifiable organic cause, distinguishing it from other alimentary tract pathologies by its benign, self-limited nature and diagnostic reliance on symptom-based criteria.
