Indigenous Influence

Indigenous Influence is a theoretical construct within the academic study of Latino Art that identifies and analyzes the enduring aesthetic, symbolic, and cultural contributions of pre-Columbian and contemporary Indigenous American traditions to artistic practices, distinguishing itself from other cultural influences by its direct lineage to native epistemologies, spiritual systems, and material histories in the Americas.
