Immune Privilege Exploitation

Immune Privilege Exploitation is an immune evasion strategy in which parasites selectively colonize or persist within immunologically specialized host tissues—such as the central nervous system, testes, or eyes—where immune surveillance and inflammatory responses are constitutively attenuated to prevent collateral damage, thereby leveraging the physiological constraints of these privileged sites to avoid detection and destruction by adaptive immunity.
