Image-based Grain Analysis
Image-Based Grain Analysis is a methodological framework within sediment texture analysis that uses digital image processing techniques to quantify grain size, shape, and spatial distribution in sediment samples, distinguishing itself from traditional sieving or laser diffraction methods by enabling non-destructive, high-resolution, two-dimensional characterization of granular materials.
