Hydroxyzine Therapy

Hydroxyzine Therapy is a pharmacotherapeutic intervention within the class of anxiolytic therapies that utilizes the first-generation antihistamine hydroxyzine to exert anxiolytic effects through its antagonism of histaminergic and serotonergic receptors, distinguishing it from benzodiazepine- and SSRI-based treatments by its non-sedating (at therapeutic doses), non-habit-forming mechanism and rapid onset of action.
