Hydrotreating

Hydrotreating is a catalytic refining process that, under elevated temperature and pressure, selectively removes heteroatoms (such as sulfur, nitrogen, and oxygen) and saturates olefins and aromatic compounds in heavy oil fractions through chemical reaction with hydrogen, thereby improving the quality and stability of the feedstock for downstream upgrading applications.
