Hub Location Allocation
Hub Location Allocation is a mathematical optimization model that determines the optimal placement and assignment of nodes to hubs in a network to minimize transportation costs, routing inefficiencies, and infrastructure investment, while distinguishing itself from related location problems by explicitly incorporating the role of hubs as centralized switching points and accounting for economies of scale in inter-hub transfers.
