Honour-based Persecution
Honour-Based Persecution is a form of gender-related persecution constituting severe social control and punitive measures, often directed by family or community members against individuals—typically women and girls—accused of violating culturally defined norms of honour, thereby distinguishing it from other forms of persecution through its collective, kinship-embedded, and morality-enforcement motivations.
