Helicase-driven Unwinding

Helicase-Driven Unwinding is a molecular mechanism in nucleic acid dynamics whereby the enzyme helicase catalyzes the separation of double-stranded DNA or RNA into single strands through ATP-dependent translocation along the nucleic acid backbone, distinguishing it from passive or protein-independent unwinding processes.
