Hard X-ray Background

Hard X-Ray Background is a component of the cosmic X-ray background radiation characterized by photon energies predominantly above 10 keV, distinguished from the softer X-ray background by its higher energy spectrum and association with more energetic astrophysical processes such as accretion onto supermassive black holes and inverse Compton scattering.
