Hadley Cell Structure

Hadley Cell Structure is a theoretical construct in atmospheric science that represents the three-dimensional overturning circulation pattern in the tropical troposphere, characterized by rising air near the equator, poleward flow at high altitudes, descending air in the subtropics, and equatorward return flow near the surface, which collectively distinguish it as the primary mechanism for meridional heat and momentum transport in the tropics.
