Hadith Authentication is a methodological process in Hadith Studies that systematically evaluates the authenticity of prophetic traditions by examining the reliability of their chains of transmission (isnād) and the integrity of their textual content (matn), distinguishing it from broader hadith classification by its focused critical assessment of evidentiary validity.
