H-theorem

The H-Theorem is a theoretical principle in statistical mechanics that belongs to the class of foundational results in kinetic theory, specifically establishing the irreversible increase of entropy and the approach to thermodynamic equilibrium by demonstrating that the quantity H (related to the negative of entropy) monotonically decreases over time under the dynamics described by the Boltzmann Transport Equation.
